Preacher School Presented By Nexus Institute

COURSE DESCRIPTION 

This course is designed to aid in spiritual development and to assist in building stronger knowledge and understanding of Biblical knowledge, theology, Christian education and more. The course will focus on ministerial ethics, Christian Doctrine, Old & New Testament foundations and biblical interpretation, the development of the verbal and nonverbal communication skills for the effective preaching and oral reading of the Scripture, for preaching, the basic principles of voice quality and tone, expressions and gestures, and overall platform manners will also be taught. Finally, the student’s perspective of verbal and nonverbal communication will be evaluated through conversational critique from both the teacher and fellow classmates.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

You can expect a comprehensive course introducing essential and creative elements to the call of ministry in the 21st Century as well as in the development of sermons and text interpretation. Attention will be given to all aspects of preparation and composition, and to each part of the message.

The theology and history of ministry and preaching, contemporary and traditional perspectives and methods, development of resources and sermon analysis will also be established. This course will enhance the skills of veteran ministers of the Gospel, while providing a solid foundation for the less experienced.
